A newborn session is a very special session. This is the session that will professionally capture your infant at their newest. They will never be this small again. Documenting those tiny toes, milky lips, and sleepy faces ensures you that you will be able to look back and remember these special qualities about your baby. When possible it is best to photograph a newborn between 10-20 days of life.

In addition to your newborns portraits, you may want to include images of you, your partner and/or children.

All newborn sessions are scheduled on a weekday at 10:30am.

Kidlets Photography only books three newborns due the same week.

Once your bundle arrives you will need to contact me so that we can schedule a day for our session.

Nothing is more magical than welcoming a new baby into your family. The tiny, delicate fingers and toes, the precious soft skin and the love is, a love unlike any you have known. It is certain that your life will never the same. These moments pass so quickly. It is a privilege for me to preserve this special milestone for you and your family to remember forever.

Quick Tips

  • Relax and have patience during the shoot.

  • Expect the session to last 2-3 hours.

  • You will feed baby once you arrive, right before we start.

  • If you have a treasured item to use bring it with you.

  • Don't apply any new lotions or creams to baby that may cause a skin reaction.

  • BRING a soother if you have one.

I understand that your baby's first photo shoot can be a stressful time for you. Baby may not be cooperating and you'll worry that the session will be a bust.

Also, watching someone else handle and pose your new baby could bring out your parental instincts.

The first rule of newborn photography is to relax and have patience. If you are tense, your baby will sense that and your little one might have trouble going into the deep sleep that we need. So take a deep breath, think calming thoughts and take your baby's lead.

I am happy to take the time we need for baby to be fed, changed, comforted and lulled to sleep.

You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks. (no nut products please)

Dress light and in layers. Kidlets Photography's studio will be very warm so that baby is comfortable.

If you are bringing siblings with you, please bring activities and/or proper wardrobe for a walk or drive.

You will feed babe once you arrive, right before we start. This way baby is nice and full and will settle into our session.

Kidlet's Photography provides all props and accessories.
